''Jawira'' ''(s.)'' - ''Río con o sin agua.''〕 "great river", hispanicized spelling ''Jacha Jahuira, Jachcha Jahuira'') is a Bolivian river east of Lake Titicaca in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Batallas Municipality and in the Omasuyos Province, Achacachi Municipality. It originates in the Cordillera Real near the mountains Janq'u Uyu and Wila Lluxita.〔(huayna-potosi.com ) Map of the area showing the source of Jach'a Jawira ("Jacha Jahuira")〕 At first the river flows in a south western direction connecting the lakes Janq'u Quta, Quta Thiya, Q'ara Quta and Wichhu Quta. Leaving Q'ara Quta it flows almost parallel to the nearby Surikiña River south of it. East of Peñas it turns to the north west. In the Achacachi Municipality it unifies with the Qiqa Jawira ''(Keka Jahuira'' or ''Río Keka)'' which flows into Lake Titicaca north of Achacachi. == See also ==
